We are responding to community desires to offer more of this genre and to provide a platform for the historically marginalized stories and music of Black American culture to be heard and seen.We Black Folk serves multiple audiences, including (but not limited to) the general public, performing/visual artists, production professionals (e.g., audio engineers/videographers),and small-businesses.

Legacy Roots
Legacy Roots is a video series dedicated to uncovering and celebrating the Black artists, traditions, and cultural movements that have shaped folk music and its many offshoots. Through storytelling, historical deep dives, and artist reflections, the series preserves and amplifies the legacies of Black musicians whose contributions have often been overlooked or erased. By connecting past influences to present-day artistry, Legacy Roots serves as both an educational resource and a celebration of the deep, evolving impact of Black folk traditions across genres.
